Hi guys,

I'm not sure where to post this thread but I think "Health" is the nearest category. So here it is. Please post your dog grooming tips here.

Sharing my techniques on how to groom your dog:
"Keep your blades sharp for your electric razor, this method will give you more leverage to move fast and to never cut or nick your pet. But you should use the shortest blade on the face area. The ears are the first part to groom, sprinkle a delicate portion of white dog powder around the canal of the ear, this will allow you/the groomer to discern the hairs, and there is an ear clamp that pulls out those hairs. This process is effective to maintain the ear canal free of hair."

do not use electric razors on Goldens. For grooming you need thinning scissors (for ears, neck) and straight scissors for tail and paws.

This is a tutorial for grooming Goldens. There are several others we had on the old forum which got lost (technical issues...long story, impossible to save the posts!)

If you want to learn, feel free to ask me questions Smile I am by no means an expert, but I will do my best to help you Smile
